Yoga experience is not a requirement although previous yoga practice would facilitate the understanding of body movements.

Certificate III or above in Fitness recognised by Fitness Australia.
Certificate III or above in Fitness recognised by Kinect Australia
Registration Fitness Australia or Kinect Australia
REPs -UK Registration
Senior First Aid Certificate (up to date).

Certification:

Completion Time:

Certification CEPs Requirements:

Sports Yoga ™ Yoga Alliance International Certification is valid for life renewable every year prior submission of CEPs units (continuing education points). Continuing education consists of both:

 A total of 12 CEPs in both categories (4 plus 8) are required every year. Non contact CEPs can be submitted online.Check available programs and how to accrue CEPs click here

Licence for Sports Yoga ™ Certified Instructors:

It is mandatory for Sports Yoga ™ Certified Instructors to hold a Licence. The main purpose of the Licence is to enable instructors to use the name Sports Yoga ™ (without this you may not use the name Sports Yoga ™ under any circumstance); distinguish and regulate the category for optimal safety, display fitness credentials and importantly to prevent intentional or unintentional misuse of the brand name Sports Yoga ™ in contexts either than its Certification.

The Licence provides other important benefits including 10% discount on all CEPs continuing education points programs, Sports Yoga ™ merchandising (available from October 2012) and much more. The licence is included in the course fee. For further information click here

Assessment:

Theory test: Online with live invigilator - True-False Choice Questions: Pass Mark 85%

Practical Test: (Submission of Video and Photographs).

Correspondence Courses Web Cam Online Test

We deliver theory tests in partnership with two world renowned Proctoring Service Providers based in USA. Students enrolled on a distance learning program can take exams 24/7 at home, at work, or anywhere where internet access is available.

Online Theory Tests

Theory tests must be booked through our bookings department. Students ready to sit the test should contact: bookingsonlinetesting@iinet.net.au Bookings orders are processed within 36 hours by us and finalised by our USA based Proctoring partners within 5 working days. In total allow 10 working days for the full booking process to be completed.

* Students have 30 days from the booking date to sit the theory test.

Theory Test Re-sits:

Students who failed the first test can only re-sit after 15 days, to allow more time to study.

Practical Test Assessment Requirements:

This course require Video evidence (maximum length 10mins) of the student teaching Sports Yoga ™ and photographs in yoga poses included in the training manual. Students can upload their video on: Youtube.com - Metacafe.com or Veoh.com.
